I like to hear from Kickstarter entrepreneurs who have interesting products they are trying to fund(hint, hint), and give them some press. So it was nice to hear from Girish Karnani who is raising funds for 1 Voice. He claims it is the coolest beanie ever. And as far as beanies go, it is pretty cool, because it not only keeps your head warm, it has built in bluetooth headphones. All you need to do is sync your beanie to your phone/mp3 player, hit play, and enjoy your favorite music. So instead of worrying about your earbuds falling out, you can concentrate on exercising, like skiing and running, texting, or whatever you do when you’re listening to music. It’s not my business. Unless you have earbuds in while you’re driving, that’s plain dangerous.
The beanie is pretty stylish, and it’s nice and warm, it’s made of a tight knit to keep you toasty. And it has a built-in battery that allows for 6-8 hours of continuous playback, which can be recharged via USB included with the beanie.
This is a cool beanie too if you’re looking for something more immediate:
Stussy Zigzag Pom Beanie

I’ve been hearing a lot about cold water shaving for some reason lately. So I gave it a go this morning. And I think I’m going to stick with it.
Now the way I shave is like this: I shower first, then I shave. This really brings out the beard around my current Goatee. So I already started with warm water. This morning I splashed cold water on my face, put on the shaving lotion and started shaving. I found quickly that cold water really makes the whiskers stand up straight. So I felt a little more pulling, but not too bad. The results: Invigorating shave, smooth and less irritable.
I looked for arguments for cold water shaving, and Art of Manliness has some of the best I have seen. They go ahead and give examples of several self-care books from the 19th and early 20th century. The best advice being from Shaving Made Easy:
A hair, as is well known, is a tube composed of a hard fibrous substance, growing from a bulb or root, which secretes an oily matter.
This oil works its way up through the hair, and by permeating all parts, renders the hair soft and pliable. Now in this natural oily condition, it is very difficult to cut the hair with a razor, and it becomes even more difficult if the beard be made still softer by the application of hot water. Many do this, and it is no wonder they find shaving difficult. When this is done, the hairs become soft and limp, and the razor will either slip over them entirely, or else cut partly into them, bend them back and shave them lengthwise, all the while pulling and straining them at the roots, and making the process of shaving most painful.
So there you go. I would advise to at least trying it out, it can’t hurt, unless you are a real pussy. You might like it.
I found this cool iPhone case over on Etsy. It’s not unique that in that it looks like wood, it’s actually plastic. It’s the geometric wood shapes that are on the case that makes it an eye catcher and one of a kind.
According to the creator, the case is customized, so you can choose color case which you would like. It’s made using a heat compress technique takes one or two days for production.
Not a bad price at $16.00. But it from IdeaCase on Etsy.com.
With one push of the gas pedal, the The 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG uses up the carbon credits of many small countries. However the Mercedes Benz G Series has always been a favorite of mine. I know it’s boxy and grossly expensive. But there’s something cool and manly about it. Maybe it’s the G63’s V8 that cranks out 536 horsepower and 560 lb-ft. of torque. That will take you from 0 – 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. Considering that the G63 AMG weighs around 6 tons, that’s pretty impressive. So if you anyone at Mercedes Benz wants to send me one for say a one year test drive, I’ll be more than happy to accept….sound of crickets.
2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG base price is $135,700

I usually don’t get too excited about products I use everyday for my manly up keeping, ie. shaving supplies, toilet paper, etc. However, I know this is gonna sound cheesy, but the Schick Hydro 5 is the bomb! I’ve never gotten a better shave from a razor, and I’m 44 years old and have gone through a shit ton of razors in my life. I have a really tough beard that chews up razors like mad, and the original razor has made through two weeks of shaving and still leaves my skin smooth and cut free.
This isn’t one of those sponsored(paid) posts. I really do like the razor and wanted to give a shout out to Schick for making a damn good shaving product.
You can buy it everywhere.
Men shouldn’t ever wear Jeggings. Never. As if this even had to be a topic to be discussed. The reason? As Tracie Egan Morrisey on Jezebel explains, “one dick and two balls.” Yep, common sense. These are even worse than the spandex my favorite hair metal rockers wore in the early 80’s. Just don’t do it, and don’t wear skinny Jeans either.
