Honda Skydeck, otherwise known as “WTF is that?”
Sure, lots of us have kids or had friends who had kids who have bought mini-vans. We may even know a few single weirdos with mini-vans. And the usual conversation regarding the initial purchase of said mini-van is usually like:
Friend – “Hey dude I bought a new car.”
You – “Awesome what did you get?”
Friend – “A bitching Honda Odyssey, it’s loaded!”
You – “A Honda Odyssey? You traded in your BMW M3 for a minivan?”
Friend – “Uh, yeah, Amy made me, she said it made more sense.”
You – “Holy shit, that sucks.”
Friend – “Yeah, well life sucks.”
You – “No, your life sucks.”
Friend – “Kill me.”
Just kidding of course, minivans are a great choice, roomy, versatile, lots of room for kids and all of their crap. However, Honda’s Skydeck may actually make owning a minivan cool. Although only a concept, any of the ideas for the Skydeck would be a leap forward for the minivan, and the auto industry in general. Lamborghini-inspired doors, glass roof, and lots of wood accents on the interior pieces are only the tip of the iceberg. Check out the features on the video below.
The Icon CJ3B
Ok, let’s have fun. Pretend you are wealthy, by hardwork, lottery or inheritance. It doesn’t matter. Now let’s say your the outdoor type and your Aston Martin doesn’t do well in three feet of mud. Where do you turn to? Jeep? No, but sort of. If you are, or are going to be, wealthy at some point you need to get your outdoorsy, mud loving hands on the Icon CJ3B.
The Icon CG3B, like all other Icons(out of Los Angeles, CA), are hand made with extreme detail. And since they are hand made, they can be tailored to the individual. The CG3B is itself based on the fender Willys Jeep, also known as “the dog.” Bt the CJ3B goes beyond, delivering a rough and tough go anywhere vehicle. Here’s the making of one:
If you are interested be prepared to put down some serious cash. But I can’t imagine a better off road experience.

Fisker Karma
If only every future electric car looked as cool as the Fisker Karma and, at the same time, was affordable to the regular slob on the street. Sadly, not yet. But if you can afford a luxury car, this is a hell of a luxury car at $80,000.
The Fisker Karma sport sedan is a baby of former BMW, Ford and Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker.
Like the upcoming Chevrolet Volt, the Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid, or extended-range electric vehicle. It sports a pair of electric motors that crank 403 horsepower and 959 lb-ft of torque. This beauty goes 50 miles on a full charge before the on board General Motors-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged engine kicks in. This powers the generator, allowing another 300 miles. And if it’s power you’re looking for, the Karma can reach 60 mph in about six seconds. So help the environment, and drive something sharp while doing it.
